Cartlandia has been In existence for just a year and is pioneering a new sense of community, family friendly activities, lighting, bicycling and safety on SE 82nd Ave. We sincerely hope that you will come and see us this holiday season and enjoy food from one of the carts. We also have holiday trees being sold by a local family during December.
The bike-centric food cart superpod, Cartlandia (www.cartlandia.com) has made many local connections and has supported several local community events. These include the Upcycle Fair (to support Green Lents Community Tool Library), plantings and clean-up along the Springwater corridor bike trail partnered with Portland Parks and Rec and Ed Kearns, National Night Out (Brentwood Darlington), raffle and bike ride for Johnson Creek Watershed Council in September, food donations for Clackamas Service Center at Thanksgiving, a fund raiser for Project Access NOW last August. We recently sponsored THREE TABLES AT FEAST FOR SOUTHEAST during the Thanksgiving holiday to have dinner for over 575 of our neighbors.
We currently would like to draw your attention to partnership with Project Access NOW (non-profit helping uninsured people access health care www.projectaccessnow.org) in the Willamette Give Guide. go to http://giveguide.oaktree.com/Welcome.aspx then to Donate NOW, then scroll down to Project Access NOW.http://wweek.com/giveguide
