Aldo Bardino brought his bright red cart to Cartlandia in March 2014 with a menu of gourmet burgers, the crispiest onion rings and two types of fries. His "Original Burger" is crafted with four layers, 1/3 pound beef patty with spices topped with home-made sauces like garlic mayo and BBQ .

Traveling from Los Angeles doing a preliminary location scout in beautiful Portland, Oregon for an upcoming movie has yielded me some of the most incredulous experiences.
IMAGINE THIS-- wonderful weather at the end of April and first week of May-- (you're welcome Oregonians ;) !) Off to a great start, I discovered Cartlandia, namely Bardo's Grill... Having vast experience in the culinary world and eating at some of the most exquisite restaurants, I have to tip my hat to the amazing, Chef Aldo! Here, while my taste buds are dancing, I learn of his his colorful and infectious personality; which he gratuitously shares with his customers. He truly does serve a gourmet meal with a secret sauce that really should be bottled and sold at major retailers; which led me to return three additional times trying new things on the menu that never ceased to impress. Perhaps I'm obsessed. Fine, guilty as charged. As if it couldn't get any better, one particular evening starts off at that wonderful grill, then it's off to witness that amazing buzzer beater against Huston via Mr. Lillard, ending a 14-year dry spell in the playoffs...
The next day it's off to Bardo's Grill yet again where I'm challenged by his monstrous "Munster Burger." The sights and sounds of Portland were ever so rich, and I can only hope to bring those feelings into my film to share with the rest of the world!
I have even gone out of my way to create a Yelp account specifically to kick this off with a great review for Bardo's, and I will ensure that my colleagues from Hollywood make a stop at Bardo's Grill anytime they are in beautiful Portland, Oregon! I conclude by saying that I hope I'm lucky enough to have Bardo's Grill catering exclusively on my movie set to spoil my cast and crew when we return!

Just opened Nov 2013, the owners Cathy and David bring FRESH Maine Lobster flown in by UPS to their cart and make hot and buttery Lobster roll sandwiches, sliders, Po'Boy and Lobster Bisque. Cathy and David have built a first rate truck and menu that also includes clam chowder and has many specials to come. In October 2014, they are offering Snow Crab legs, shrimp, and dungeness crab cakes. You can take any of the delicious food in to The Blue Room Bar and pair it with a nice glass of wine. Doro Wat is the Ethiopian national dish - flavorful and spicy chicken slowly simmered in berbere sauce and Ethiopian spices.
